History
Marking the 10 year anniversary.
Prior to moving to Lake Geneva, the Summer Conference was held at Cedar Lake, Indiana.
This was the first year the Summer Conference was held at Lake Geneva.

The Lake Geneva Summer Conference dates back to 1922. That year a Large group from the Brethren Assemblies of Chicago convened their first summer family conference during the last two weeks of July. Initially held at Cedar Lake Conference grounds in Northern Indiana, the conference moved to Conference Point Center (CPC) on the shores of Geneva Lake in 1940. At over 90 years and counting, this is the longest running Plymouth Brethren family conference in the nation.
For the last 80+ years, this group which grew to include large contingents from St. Louis, Detroit and Milwaukee has gathered the last full week in July to grow as both individuals and families in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Many things have changed over the years. Meals are no longer family style, men do not need to wear ties to dinner and dresses are not mandatory at all meals, to name a few. However, over the past 85 years many things have remained the same. Families come first and the spiritual growth from young to old is the priority of the week. Top notch speakers have been a staple of the conference every year without exception. Many, many children have come to know the Lord as Savior through the ministry of godly men.
With buildings dating back to the late 1800’s, there is always work to be done. While the property has seen improvements over the years, none are as dramatic as what has been taking place the last 10 years. The Lake Geneva Foundation which runs the Lake Geneva Youth Camp is overseeing projects that will restore the grounds to their glory days, maintaining the beauty and spirit of the camp and at the same time bringing the grounds up to modern standards. Already completed projects include air conditioning in many of the buildings, reconfiguration of the beach and recreational areas and new cement paths for ease of access between the buildings. There are many plans still on the drawing board which when they are completed will make CPC one of the premier conference grounds in the country.
Over the years, this week has become become a summer highlight for many family's (read stories here). The history of the Lake Geneva Summer Conference can become a part of your family's history too, with it's positive Christian influence echoing for generations.
